Terms of Service

Last updated: September 29, 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Tommaso Savorana, based in Italy and operating YET (“YET”, “we”, “us”). They govern your access to the YET mobile application, website and related services (collectively, the “Service”). Contact: info@yet.social.

By accepting these Terms when creating or continuing an account, you agree to these Terms and the Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not create or continue an account. The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain data processing; accepting these Terms is not consent to every use of personal data. Mandatory rights remain unaffected.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 14 years old to use YET and meet any higher minimum age or other mandatory condition applicable to you. If you are under the age of majority where you live, involve a parent or legal guardian and obtain their authorisation where the law requires it. Parental permission cannot override a legal prohibition on access. The Service is not directed to children under 14.

The current account flow uses a minimum-age self-declaration, not verified proof of age or parental authorisation. You must give accurate age information and must not evade an applicable restriction. YET remains responsible for the age-assurance, consent and child-protection measures that applicable law requires of the service; these duties are not transferred to you or a parent by an age declaration. Where Australia's social-media minimum-age rules apply to the service, they require reasonable steps to prevent accounts held by people under 16 who are ordinarily resident in Australia. A store content rating or permission to attend a particular event is separate from account eligibility and does not replace YET's statutory duties.

2. Accounts and security

YET may reclaim, rename or restrict usernames where reasonably necessary for safety, impersonation, trademark, technical or legal reasons. Where practicable, we will explain a restriction and allow you to challenge it under section 7. If you act for an organisation, you must be authorised to do so.

3. The YET service

YET helps people discover, create, share and discuss events. Unless a feature expressly states otherwise, YET is not the organiser, venue, ticket seller, travel provider or contracting party for a user-created event. Marking “Going”, following an account, receiving an invitation or collaborating on an event does not itself create a ticket, reservation, guarantee of entry or commercial contract with YET.

Features, ranking, availability and supported devices may change. We may test, add, modify, suspend or withdraw features for valid reasons such as security, legal requirements, compatibility or service improvement, subject to the notice and consumer protections below. YET currently provides no in-app ticket checkout or payment processing. A paid YET feature would require clear price and additional terms before purchase; these Terms do not authorise an undisclosed charge.

Discovery is not a verification or endorsement of an event. In-app feed ordering considers followed accounts and their event activity, recency and distance; access rules, dates and selected filters determine eligible results. Following and location controls change what you see. Public web discovery has live and nearby views; nearby results use distance, while live results use event timing. Visibility or attendance counts do not establish a venue's capacity, an organiser's identity or the safety of an event.

If advertising, AI assistance or connections to external tools, including through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), are introduced, any feature-specific terms, permissions and privacy information will be provided before use. Accepting these Terms alone does not authorise an external tool to access your account or act on your behalf. See the Privacy Policy for the requirements that apply to any such future processing.

4. Event creators and collaborators

Event creators, and collaborators within the responsibilities they undertake, must:

Private-event invitations must be sent only to appropriate recipients. Collaborators should accept only events they are authorised to represent. YET may remove or limit events that appear unsafe, deceptive, unlawful or inconsistent with the Community Guidelines.

An event may link to tickets, registrations, donations, venues or other transactions provided by an organiser or third party. Unless YET expressly identifies itself as the seller or payment processor, those transactions are between you and that provider. The organiser is responsible for prices, availability, entry, cancellations, refunds, taxes and legally required consumer information.

If you act as a business, identify the responsible organiser and provide the contact and trader information required by law. Do not imply that an ordinary listing or collaborator label is a verified-business badge. Obtain a lawful basis before collecting or using attendees' personal data for your own purposes; provide your own privacy information where required. Public attendance, invitations and follows are not permission to add people to marketing lists. Event attendance may have stricter age limits than use of YET.

You must not upload attendee or follower lists obtained through YET to advertising networks, customer-matching tools or lookalike-audience services merely because those people joined or viewed an event. Any independently collected marketing data requires the necessary notices, lawful basis and permissions for that specific use. Do not install trackers in event content or use YET content to infer sensitive traits for advertising.

5. Your content

You retain any ownership rights you have in content you submit, including profile information, events, photographs, comments and messages (“User Content”). You grant YET a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical display, transmit and display User Content only as needed to provide the features you use and maintain and secure the Service, consistent with your visibility settings and our Privacy Policy. Providers acting for YET may exercise these rights only to perform those services. The licence is not an assignment of ownership or a right to sell your content. It ends when the content is removed from our active systems, except to the limited extent needed for lawful evidence retention, technical backup deletion and copies legitimately retained by other users through the Service. Those exceptions do not authorise new promotional use after deletion.

For content you make public, this operational licence includes creating share previews, public event pages, public profile previews, search-engine metadata and discovery displays within YET or when a YET link is shared. Private events and private messages are not licensed for public promotion. Separate permission is required before using your content in a standalone advertising campaign or suggesting your endorsement. We may crop, resize or reformat media for display without changing its essential meaning. Removing content from YET cannot recall independent screenshots, downloads or search-engine caches held by others.

This content licence does not itself authorise training general-purpose AI models on your content, disclosure of private conversations to an AI provider, or unrestricted access through external tools. Any future feature involving those uses would require separate, specific terms and privacy information, together with any permission or consent required by law.

You confirm that your submission and intended use of User Content are lawful: you own the necessary rights, have the required permissions, or may rely on public-domain status or an applicable legal exception. You must also respect privacy, publicity and other rights, including those of people depicted. A copyright exception in one country does not automatically apply worldwide, and does not automatically resolve those other rights. The licence above only applies to rights you are entitled to grant and does not limit lawful exceptions. A licence obtained for another platform does not automatically permit use on YET. Do not post unnecessary sensitive personal information or private details about other people without a lawful basis.

You cannot grant rights you do not hold. Acceptance records prove acceptance, not ownership or clearance of each uploaded item. Making an image public, finding it online or crediting the creator is not a substitute for permission where permission is required. Keep documentary evidence of your authority and relevant licences; YET may request it to assess a rights complaint or a proposed promotional use, and may restrict disputed material under section 7. These obligations do not remove YET's own responsibilities or your statutory rights.

We do not normally require a separate signed release with every ordinary upload. This does not waive any permission you need for that use. A successful upload is not confirmation that the content has been cleared, and visibility, indexing or a share preview is not a rights certification. We may seek proportionate evidence for a complaint, a specific risk, a legal requirement or a proposed use by YET. The rights-review process in section 7 does not depend on every upload being manually checked in advance.

Separate permission for a paid advertising campaign must cover the actual assets, intended edits, channels, territories and duration. A photographer's copyright licence does not automatically authorise commercial use of a person's name, image, voice or likeness or imply their endorsement. Appropriate image or publicity releases, and authority for anyone acting for a minor, must be checked where required. A release is separate from any required data-protection consent and cannot override child-protection restrictions.

Music may involve separate rights in the master recording, composition and performance, including synchronisation rights when combined with video, as applicable to the use and territory. A venue's music licence, a streaming subscription or another platform's music library does not automatically cover uploading that music to YET or using it in paid advertising. Only permissions or applicable legal exceptions covering the intended use can justify that use.

YET does not currently provide a licensed music catalogue or a blanket music licence for user uploads. Linking to a music service is not permission to copy its recordings into YET. Any future catalogue would identify its permitted uses and territorial restrictions; access would not itself authorise advertising or reuse outside the licensed scope.

Materials selected by YET

When YET creates, commissions or selects material for its own editorial or promotional use, including website marketing, App Store screenshots and paid advertising, we are responsible for checking and documenting the rights needed for that use. A user's ordinary upload or acceptance of these Terms is not a substitute for those checks. Where additional permission is needed, we must obtain it before use. This is separate from the operational display of public listings and link previews described above; neither category removes YET's own legal obligations.

Apple's content-rights declaration is a developer attestation, not a certificate that uploaded material is cleared. Acceptance of these Terms supports the limited licence to YET above; it is not proof of third-party rights or approval of a campaign, and it is not a grant of ownership to Apple. YET remains responsible for substantiating necessary rights for its distribution and uses, including when evidence is requested during App Review.

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

The Community Guidelines provide additional examples and are part of these Terms.

7. Reporting, blocking and moderation

YET provides tools to report and block accounts or content. We may investigate reports, review associated account and content records, reduce distribution, remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence or contact authorities where reasonably necessary. Enforcement decisions may consider context, severity, history and safety risk. Reports should be made in good faith. For urgent danger, contact local emergency services first.

Report unlawful content or a rights violation

Use the relevant in-app report option or email info@yet.social, including if you have no account. To help us locate and assess the issue, include:

For intellectual-property complaints, identify the protected work or right and explain your authority to act for its owner. Do not attach or redistribute child sexual abuse material; supply a location or identifier instead. We may request clarification. Where required, we acknowledge a notice, communicate the decision and explain available redress. Knowingly false reports, retaliation and repeated abuse of the reporting process may themselves lead to proportionate restrictions.

For a copyright complaint, identify the original work and the specific YET material concerned, and describe the permission you believe is missing. For a privacy or likeness complaint, explain how you are affected or authorised to represent the person concerned; you do not need to own the photograph's copyright to raise that separate concern. In the current app, use "Other" for intellectual-property concerns or "Privacy violation" for privacy concerns, and explain the issue. Email can be used to provide relevant supporting documents. Do not send entire confidential contracts or identity documents when a redacted extract will do. See how we handle complaint information.

Intimate-image removal requests

Sharing or threatening to share an intimate depiction without consent, including a fabricated or AI-altered depiction, is prohibited. Email info@yet.social with the subject "Intimate image removal". You do not need an account. Identify the YET content or location, provide your contact details and a brief good-faith statement of nonconsent with relevant information, and include your electronic or physical signature as the depicted person or their authorised representative. Do not attach the intimate image or suspected child sexual abuse material. We may seek genuinely necessary clarification, not require a police report or a new image upload as a routine condition.

Where the US TAKE IT DOWN Act applies, valid requests must be handled as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours after receipt, with reasonable efforts to identify and remove known identical copies. Other applicable legal deadlines remain in force. This is not a promise that every report worldwide has that deadline or that support is staffed continuously. For immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service.

Rights review and repeated violations

We assess notices promptly, considering the material identified, supporting evidence, applicable licences, legal exceptions, territory and urgency. We do not treat every allegation as proof of infringement. We may request clarification or temporarily restrict disputed material while reviewing it. When applicable law requires action on unlawful content or a binding order, we act without waiting for a particular form or a completed appeal. Statutory notice, response and counter-notice requirements take precedence over this general procedure where they apply.

Repeated rights violations may lead to proportionate restrictions, suspension or termination, with a warning where appropriate or required. We consider substantiated violations, seriousness and context, not just the number of accusations. Withdrawn reports and successful appeals are considered when reassessing the record. Serious violations may require immediate action. Users may provide a licence, evidence of ownership or an explanation of a legal exception through the review route below. We may restore content or access when a restriction is overturned and restoration is lawful and technically possible. Restoration is not automatic clearance for all countries or future uses.

Manual public-content review

New or edited public submissions covered by YET's prepublication review flow are held privately for human review before publication. This includes eligible public event and profile content, usernames, comments and images. A pending submission is not a finding of a violation. A person reviews each candidate in this flow before approval, including event covers, profile avatars and gallery images submitted through the public event-media review path.

A rejected edit normally leaves the last accepted version available unless it is separately restricted. Errors or queue expiry do not publish pending material. Human approval permits publication only through a successful retry of the exact approved submission; it does not publish it automatically. Details of the held data and retention are in the Privacy Policy.

Google Cloud Natural Language and Vision safety checks are not active in this release. Content is not sent to those services for screening, including when an account has a saved AI preference. Using YET, signing in, submitting content, reporting or appealing does not require AI permission. This notice and any saved preference do not authorise future AI processing. Any later AI screening requires separate activation safeguards, current information and explicit permission before sharing.

Google/Firebase infrastructure and optional Google sign-in remain separate uses described in the Privacy Policy. Private events, private chats, PDFs, unsubmitted drafts and bulk account histories are not sent for AI screening. Existing comments on an event changed from private to public receive human review. These review boundaries do not promise that every item on YET is preapproved: rules, reporting and blocking still apply across the Service, including private channels and existing content. Targeted human handling of a report or a lawful requirement remains possible under the Privacy Policy. Safety approval does not establish age, consent, copyright clearance or legality in every country.

Decisions and human review

Restrictions must be proportionate to context, severity, repetition, risk and the available evidence. Where required, we explain the action, applicable rule or legal ground, scope, duration, relevant automation and review route. Notice may be limited or delayed only on a specific lawful ground, including protection of another person or an investigation. A safety signal can be wrong; a human review considers context.

Affected users and reporters may request human review free of charge for at least six calendar months from being informed of the decision. Email info@yet.social with the subject "Moderation appeal", the content or decision identifier and your explanation. No login or original image is required to lodge a complaint. We assess appeals in a timely, diligent, non-discriminatory and non-arbitrary manner, give a reasoned outcome and correct unsupported restrictions without undue delay. This offer does not promise an independently staffed reviewer or a fixed response time for every case.

An appeal can succeed after the 30-day raw review copy expires. We consider the minimum decision record, reviewer reason and your explanation; a lawful copy supplied voluntarily may help but is not required. Do not retransmit illegal material. When a finding is corrected, we restore available content or access where lawful and technically possible. If content has been deleted, a fresh, correctly bound submission may be needed to publish it; we do not reconstruct deleted material or require AI permission. This email process is not an integrated appeal dashboard or one-click restoration service.

Statutory complaint periods and rights to a competent regulator, certified out-of-court dispute body or court remain available where applicable. An internal appeal is not a prerequisite to exercising those rights. Reports and appeals are not emergency channels. Applicable legal deadlines take precedence.

Blocking limits interactions in YET; it is not a promise of complete invisibility. Public pages may still be seen without an account, and other people can retain copies of content they previously received.

8. Third-party services

YET may link to maps, websites, venues, social networks, App Store services or content controlled by third parties. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. YET does not control those providers or guarantee their availability, content or performance; this does not exclude responsibility the law places on YET for its own acts or omissions. Apple is not the organiser of events on YET. Your use of the iOS app is also subject to applicable App Store terms.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, software, YET name, logos, interface and original materials are owned by or licensed to YET and protected by applicable law. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Business organisers may use the Service for legitimate event activity. These Terms do not transfer ownership or permit reuse of YET branding or software outside rights expressly granted or permitted by law.

10. Suspension and account deletion

You may stop using YET or request account deletion in the app or through info@yet.social. Signing out or uninstalling does not delete your account. Deletion can remove created events and conversations, including messages visible to other participants; see the Privacy Policy for what is removed or retained and how to request a copy first. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law or secure the Service, with the reasons and review safeguards in section 7. When practicable and consistent with safety and law, we give notice and an opportunity to address a remediable issue before termination. Serious risk may require immediate action. Sections that by nature should survive termination, including rights, liability, enforcement and dispute terms, remain effective.

11. Disclaimers and liability

We must provide the Service with the care and conformity required by applicable law. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that user-created events, identities, locations, attendance, links or content are accurate, lawful, safe or available. Exercise independent judgment before attending an event, meeting another user or travelling to a location.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where exclusion is unlawful, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Mandatory consumer remedies, data-protection rights and YET's own legal duties remain intact. Subject to those rules, we are not responsible for losses caused solely by independent third parties or events outside our reasonable control. We do not require you to waive a class action, submit to compulsory arbitration or indemnify us for all claims as a condition of ordinary consumer use.

Consumer cancellation and conformity rights

Where EU or other applicable consumer law gives you a withdrawal right for the YET digital-service agreement, you may withdraw without giving a reason, normally within 14 days of conclusion. Send an unequivocal statement to info@yet.social, identifying your account and the agreement you wish to end. A simple message such as "I withdraw from my YET service agreement", with your name, account email and date, can be used. Statutory extensions for missing information and rights to have a non-conforming service corrected or the agreement ended are not excluded. These rights can apply even to services supplied in exchange for personal data rather than money. Separate event tickets and reservations have their own terms and legal rules; any exception for a dated leisure event does not automatically remove your rights for YET's digital service.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms for valid reasons, including legal requirements, security, preventing abuse or a change to the Service. For material changes affecting an existing agreement, we will give the notice required by law, explain the change and its effective date, and obtain renewed acceptance where required. Advance notice may not be possible for an urgent security or legal change. Posting a new page alone does not waive mandatory notice or consent requirements. You may stop using YET and close your account before a change takes effect; additional statutory termination rights remain available. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued rights or alter the resolution of an existing dispute.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Italian law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available in their country of habitual residence. Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts available to them under mandatory law, including their home courts where applicable. No exclusive Italian forum is imposed on a consumer where that would restrict such rights. You may contact info@yet.social to try to resolve an issue informally, but this is not a mandatory step before a claim or regulatory complaint. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply to the extent permitted by law, without replacing it with a less protective consumer term.
