YET is a social event app operated for the YET community. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Contact us at info@yet.social.

Information We Collect

• Account information: username, email address, authentication provider, profile photo, display name, bio, and optional profile details such as nationality, residence, and age if you choose to add them.
• Event information: events you create, attend, invite people to, comment on, save, share, or collaborate on.
• Location information: location is used to show nearby events and distance filters. You can control location permission in iOS settings.
• Messages and inbox activity: chat metadata and messages needed to deliver conversations. As YET evolves, private chat content may be protected with end-to-end encryption.
• Device and notification information: push notification tokens, notification preferences, device type, app version, and diagnostic information needed to operate the service.

How We Use Information

We use information to create and secure accounts, show relevant events, deliver chats and notifications, prevent abuse, provide customer support, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.

Sharing

Public profile and public event information may be visible to other YET users. Private events are visible only according to their invite and access settings. We use Firebase, Apple, Google, and related infrastructure providers to operate authentication, hosting, database, storage, messaging, and push notifications.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, YET may send alerts for chat messages, event invitations, event updates, collaboration requests, comments, and reminders before events start. You can manage notifications in the app and in iOS settings.

Retention and Deletion

We keep information while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request account deletion in the app or by contacting info@yet.social. Some information may be retained when required for security, legal compliance, or backup integrity.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact info@yet.social.

Cookies

This website is currently static and does not use marketing cookies or tracking cookies. If we add analytics, ads, or other tracking technologies, we will update this policy and provide any required consent controls.

Children

YET is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes

We may update this policy as YET changes. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users.
