SAFETY AT YET
Community Guidelines
Effective: August 31, 2026
YET is built for real people meeting around real plans. These Guidelines apply to profiles, events, images, comments, invitations, collaborations, chats and links. They form part of the Terms of Service.
Be authentic
- Do not impersonate a person, organiser, venue, business or YET.
- Do not create deceptive events, fake attendance, fraudulent offers or misleading locations.
- Do not coordinate manipulation, spam, mass invitations or artificial engagement.
Respect people
- No harassment, stalking, bullying, threats, blackmail, non-consensual sexual content or unwanted sexual conduct.
- No hateful attacks or exclusion based on protected characteristics.
- No doxxing or sharing another person's private location, contact, identity or sensitive information without permission.
Protect minors
Sexual exploitation, grooming, solicitation, endangerment or sexualised content involving minors is prohibited. Never use YET to arrange unsafe contact with a minor. We may preserve and report relevant evidence where law or safety obligations require it.
Keep events safe and lawful
- Do not promote violence, credible threats, terrorism, dangerous stunts or instructions intended to cause harm.
- Do not organise illegal sales, scams, trafficking, weapons activity or distribution of prohibited goods.
- Event creators must have permission to use the venue and must disclose material access, age, safety or cost conditions.
- Do not conceal cancellations, impersonate official events or direct attendees to unsafe locations.
Respect ownership
Share only content you own or are authorised to use. Do not misuse trademarks, copyrighted images, music, event branding or another person's likeness. Rights holders may contact info@yet.social with enough information to identify the work and content.
No platform abuse
Do not scrape users or events, harvest contact details, probe security, distribute malware, evade blocks or enforcement, automate access without permission, sell accounts or use YET data for surveillance or unsolicited commercial targeting.
Reporting and emergencies
Use the in-app report menu for a profile, event, comment or message, and block accounts when needed. Reports should explain the concern accurately. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services; an in-app report is not an emergency channel. Additional concerns may be sent to info@yet.social.
How enforcement works
Depending on context, severity, history and risk, YET may reduce visibility, remove content, disable features, restrict invitations, suspend or terminate an account, preserve evidence or notify relevant authorities. Severe harm may lead to immediate action. Misuse of reporting systems or retaliation against reporters is prohibited. You may request review of an enforcement decision by emailing info@yet.social with your username and relevant context.
