Terms of Service

Effective: August 31, 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Tommaso Savorana, based in Italy and operating YET (“YET”, “we”, “us”). They govern your access to the YET mobile application, website and related services (collectively, the “Service”). Contact: info@yet.social.

By creating an account, accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use YET.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 14 years old to use YET. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and authorised your use where required by law. The Service is not directed to children under 14.

2. Accounts and security

YET may reclaim, rename or restrict usernames where reasonably necessary for safety, impersonation, trademark, inactivity, technical or legal reasons.

3. The YET service

YET helps people discover, create, share and discuss events. Unless a feature expressly states otherwise, YET is not the organiser, venue, ticket seller, travel provider or contracting party for a user-created event. Marking “Going”, following an account, receiving an invitation or collaborating on an event does not itself create a ticket, reservation, guarantee of entry or commercial contract with YET.

Features, ranking, availability and supported devices may change. We may test, add, modify, suspend or withdraw features where reasonably necessary, subject to mandatory law.

4. Event creators and collaborators

Anyone who creates, publishes or accepts collaboration on an event is responsible for:

Private-event invitations must be sent only to appropriate recipients. Collaborators should accept only events they are authorised to represent. YET may remove or limit events that appear unsafe, deceptive, unlawful or inconsistent with the Community Guidelines.

An event may link to tickets, registrations, donations, venues or other transactions provided by an organiser or third party. Unless YET expressly identifies itself as the seller or payment processor, those transactions are between you and that provider. The organiser is responsible for prices, availability, entry, cancellations, refunds, taxes and legally required consumer information.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit, including profile information, events, photographs, comments and messages (“User Content”). You grant YET a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical display, transmit and display User Content only as needed to operate, secure, promote and improve the Service, consistent with your visibility settings and our Privacy Policy. This licence ends when the content is deleted from active systems, except for lawful retention, backups and content shared by others that they still hold.

For content you make public, this operational licence includes creating share previews, public event pages, search-engine metadata and promotional displays that link back to YET. Private events and private messages are not licensed for public promotion. We may crop or resize media for technical formats but will not claim ownership of it.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit User Content and that it does not violate law, privacy, publicity, copyright or other third-party rights. Do not post sensitive personal information that is not necessary for an event.

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

The Community Guidelines provide additional examples and are part of these Terms.

7. Reporting, blocking and moderation

YET provides tools to report and block accounts or content. We may investigate reports, review associated account and content records, reduce distribution, remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence or contact authorities where reasonably necessary. Enforcement decisions may consider context, severity, history and safety risk. Reports should be made in good faith. For urgent danger, contact local emergency services first.

8. Third-party services

YET may link to maps, websites, venues, social networks, App Store services or content controlled by third parties. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. YET does not control and is not responsible for third-party availability, content, transactions or conduct.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, software, YET name, logos, interface and original materials are owned by or licensed to YET and protected by applicable law. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service. They do not transfer ownership or permit commercial reuse of YET branding or software.

10. Suspension and account deletion

You may sign out or request account deletion in the app. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law or secure the Service. Where appropriate, we may notify you and provide a way to request review at info@yet.social. Sections that by nature should survive termination, including rights, liability, enforcement and dispute terms, remain effective.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that user-created events, identities, locations, attendance, links or content are accurate, lawful, safe or available. Exercise independent judgment before attending an event, meeting another user or travelling to a location.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections. To the maximum extent permitted by law, YET is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for conduct of users, organisers, venues or other third parties.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law or safety practices. Material changes will be communicated through the Service, website or email where appropriate. The effective date above identifies the current version. Continued use after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Italian law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available in their country of residence. Italian courts have jurisdiction except where mandatory consumer law allows or requires proceedings elsewhere. Before filing a claim, please contact info@yet.social so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
